Ingredients
Salmon fillet(average size) - 3
Onion(medium) - 1
Tomato(medium) - 1
Garlic
Ginger
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Salt
Cooking oil
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves
- Mix 1/2 tsp chili powder, half of the turmeric powder and salt
- Cut salmon into bite size pieces and marinate in the above mix for 10 mins
- In a skillet, add a tsp of oil, fry the fish and set aside.
- In a pan, add 1/2 tsp of oil
- Add in mustard seeds.
- Saute' diced onions, minced garlic, diced ginger(abt a tsp), curry leaves
- Add in diced tomato and some salt
- When the tomato slices are cooked, add coriander powder, rest of the chili powder and turmeric powder
- Let the mixture heat up and change to a darker color(do not let it burn)
- Add in the fried fish and mix well.
- Cover and turn the heat low for 5 mins.
- Serve with warm white rice
You can also use fish masala if you have it handy instead of the coriander, chili and turmeric mix.
